This is a web application (called the LocumNET) which has grown to the companies core application, it has been written for a Health recruitment company and is increased in functionality over the years and even now there are still features added to this application.

To give an idea of its possibilities here follows a short list of the main features which makes this application so important for the business. This will also show you that web applications can do a lot more then reading and writing to databases.

Keep in mind that this application is for a Health recruitment company.

Candidates management. Candidate profiling and skills assignment. Candidate availability management. Hospital management. Vacancy management. Automatic candidate vacancy search/matching. Candidate job sheet/placement processing. Invoice generation. Secure/limited candidate access. Automated mailing system.

Integration with TXT system. (This allows the coordinators to directly send a TXT message to the candidates) Email integration. (The coordinators are still using OUTLOOK but every message to and from the candidates are automatically recorded on the system) Telephone system integration. (When making call it automatically logs a communication entry in the system which can be altered by the coordinator) Integration with accounting software. (The generated invoices are automatically sent to the accounting software for further processing)

HR system Software

This software is ready-to-go, a DEMO CD is available.

Our most recent development although this application has been developed for one particular client, is has been made is such a way that it can easily be extended with new features and modules. It currently contains two modules including not not limited to the following functionality -

Dashboard (core module). Employee management. Controlled employee access per module. Quick status overview of each module. Quick module functions.

Leave module. Leave records import. Public holiday import. Leave request / approval process. Leave records export to MyOB format.

The following modules are planned to be implemented -

• Employee file.
  This will contain all employee records and files related to their employment. Access to these files and information can be done using a secure connection and depending on user rights and file types.

• Message board.
  This will allow HR/Management to place general messages/notes (for example internal vacancies) on the system to which eventually employees can give comments like a discussion board.

Document search archive

The reliability of electronic documents storage has now reached such a high level that the international tax offices allow storing documents electronically instead of the paper versions. This opens a whole wide possibilities of cost reductions as you don't need large warehouses to store the paper any more and retrieval of documents has become an instant process rather than waiting for the warehouse body to arrange for you the retrieval of a paper document. However, one issue which does exist for storage of paper documents in warehouses remains the same for electronic stored documents which is of course the ability of finding the right document. Using the electronic storage this has become much easier as there are nowadays possibilities to index the documents using multiple keys such as date, document type, invoice number, client details etc. (almost endless).

The document search archive makes it very easy to find documents fast at the time you need it. Nothing is more frustrating that having a client to wait till you can come back with the right document.
